Latrobe Valley Care

Latrobe Valley Care is an ongoing program at Valley Christian Centre that helps people learn more about God, themselves, and others, through the use of small groups. These small groups foster love, acceptance, and confidentiality, and are one of the ways that Valley Christian Centre is involved in helping people in the community.

The Goals of Latrobe Valley Care are to see people healed of the pains that life often brings, to teach people the skills to resolve the conflicts in their life, and to see people grow in their relationship with God, their family and others. Some of the topics and issues which are covered in the Latrobe Valley Care program are:

The past year has been an interesting one for the Latrobe Valley Care program, with the continuation of the Search for Significance course (covering those issues listed above), as well as the sessions on Boundaries. Both courses have been well received and there has been some good fruit come from those who have completed the courses.

Latrobe Valley Care has layed some solid foundations for the future, with the commencement of the Latrobe Valley Care Board (which comprises of Ps Mark, Suzi Piken, Mark Urquhart, Simon Bridge, and myself), and further facilitator training as well as branching out with people from other churches doing the Search for Significance course.
