Small groups are a way for Christians to experience fellowship, love, acceptance, and confidentiality, while at the same time learning more about God and becoming closer to Him. Small groups allow people to meet and worship God together in a friendly and comfortable environment - whether at home, church, or another location.

They allow the members of Valley Christian Centre to further develop and share their faith, and also provide a means for all other people in the community to come and worship Jesus, join in friendship with all of us, and to share in the blessing of God's presence.
There are several types of small groups that Valley Christian Centre supports, and more are being formed all the time. Some of the main ones that meet regularly are Homegroups, Youth groups, Latrobe Valley Care's small groups, Ladies fellowship, and the Men's prayer breakfast. There are also other small groups of people who meet such as the Church's Bible study group. These groups allow a diverse range of people from all age groups and nationalities to gather in fellowship, to learn about God, and to draw closer to Him and His presence - while at the same time having great fun!
All of these groups are intended to bring Christians and everyone in the community closer to Jesus Christ, and closer to other Christians and people - in a powerful and meaningful way.
If you are visiting this site and are unfamiliar with Christian beliefs, you may be wondering what we mean by worship, and why we worship God. Worship is our acknowledgement of God's Righteousness, Love, Power, Might, Grace, Mercy, and Sovereignty - and giving Him all the glory for all the blessing in our lives and for the good we do in His Name. It is acknowledging that Jesus is our personal Saviour, Lord and Master - and our dedication of everything we have to Him to do His Will, which is the Will of the Father. How should we worship God?
