Our church is involved in giving finance and other assistance to support the work of missionaries and other worthwhile ventures overseas and locally. Our community Family Day in December is sponsored by our Mission Department, along with Christmas hampers, food parcels and support to other churches.
We support the work of other ministers and organisations which go out to help people and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. We believe that God heals and helps all people who ask Him. We have sent missionaries out from this church, who we still support in their work in the Philippines. We support Indonesian and Indian ministers and students who are starting new churches in their nations.

There is a story I once heard about a very elderly Chinese lady who had heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and believed, but she did not have a Bible. For years she prayed for a copy. When she eventually received a Bible from a passing missionary, she took it, held it very tightly to her chest and cried for days. She knew that God had heard and answered her prayer.

Supporting the mission field is a vital part of our church and we are committed to the giving of our finances and our time. Our giving is extending God's Kingdom. We ushered in last year with great excitement with the fantastic tent ministry of evangelist Tim Hall and his team. This brought together many churches in the valley, and we saw God perform great works. Tim Hall is back again this year and is preaching over several days at Valley Christian Centre - already many people have heard the gospel of Jesus and believed, been saved, and become Christians!
We gave one-off gifts to various groups and ministries throughout the year as we believed the Lord impressed us to give, and He has blessed our church as we continue to support missions. Our monthly commitments to mission works both at home and abroad are growing year by year. It is only through the generous and continued support in giving that this is at all possible. The reality is that God calls us to give so we can send people to the mission field to be a witness to Him.
Our mission notice board is expanding all the time with information about people who we gladly and cheerfully support; please see the Missions pictures for pictures of the people and places where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being preached overseas, supported by our church. The future of missions is up to us and I am sure that you, the people at our church, and all Christians, will excel in giving so we can continue to play our part in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community and overseas.
