The Highlife Project

Highlife is a Valley Christian Centre project, and is a new project in the Latrobe Valley, which focuses on using outdoor education as its backbone to establish and promote the self esteem of young people in the community. Highlife is aimed at bringing back balance into peoples lives, which will help restore individuals and offer them a more fullfilling lifestyle.

The Highlife project has been built by volunteers and members of the church and their families, and resides on several acres of land on the church's property. The Highlife project was initiated and has been built under the supervision of Mark Urquhart, a member of Valley Christian Centre - in conjunction with Valley Christian Centre's Senior Pastor, Mark Bates.

Highlife is a not-for-profit program and will be accessible to anybody or group in the Latrobe Valley. Highlife has been chiefly designed to help children with disabilities and young people with drug and alcohol problems, and has the potential to reach out to help anybody that has a need for improved self-esteem, confidence, and friendship.
