I would like to begin by thanking everyone who has helped to make last year a most enjoyable, exciting and successful one: the teachers, youth helpers, children's bible verse checkers and the children's transport driver.
We have had ten first time decisions for Jesus and many re-dedications since the first term started!
Children's church is in two age groups and once a term we combine for Communion, which we believe, is an important teaching and sharing time for both children and leaders. Every second Friday night, leaders gather together as a team for prayer, which is vital for the future of any ministry, and we see this as a distinctive turning point in our children's church.
The year just passed began with the Bill Wilson "Power Tool Box" teaching program in senior Children's Church with "How to hide God's Law in your Heart" through the learning of the Ten Commandments. Now we are learning about "Sam's Fruit Market"; the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Dinah Andeyo Awiti has become the sponsor child for Children's Church through Compassion Australia. Dinah lives in Western Kenya. Please keep Dinah and her family in your prayers.
Junior Children's Church, lead by Naomi and Angie with youth helpers are doing a totally wonderful job of instilling a knowledge of Christ and what He has done and is doing for these young children. They started with Creation, and are now learning about the Holy Spirit and are being brought into an awareness of the Person of the Holy Spirit.
We pray that all the children will grow to be strong and fruitful Christians.
