This last year has been categorized by a number of major changes. We have said farewell from board duties to Jurgen Hellmig and Ken Ford because of their increased commitments at work. We really appreciate these two brothers who have continually supported the work of the church over many years. We also lost Ps. Shane in September as he moved on to pastor another church.
The best farewell of all was when we saw the sale of the old church property completed, which has allowed the further reduction of the church's borrowings. The dance school tennants vacated in December, which allows us to move in and make use of this space for offices and Children's church, Bible College and other functions.
We have continued to work on areas of capital improvement as finances have allowed. The restructuring of the deacons ministry which included the appointment of two head deacons and a number of new deacons has been a great blessing.
The leadership of the church has put much time and effort this year into building stronger relationships and growing in our individual leadership abilities. We encourage all our members and church attenders to join with us in making this the best church in the region. This will happen when each of us sees it as our church.
Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support as we chart a course for the future. Let's make this new year the year when we see many new people reached for Christ in the Valley.
